Who is our project partner KMOP?
KMOP is one of the oldest civil society organisations in Greece with 45 years of experience in the direct provision of social services and implementation of social initiatives in supporting vulnerable individuals. KMOP studies and analyses pressing societal challenges to understand society and proposes innovative interventions, educates and develops the know-how to address social issues based on fairness, innovation, sustainability and balanced development.
It actively supports individuals and communities through the direct provision of social services and educational opportunities, the implementation of innovative initiatives, research and impactful policy design.
The ultimate goal of KMOP is to contribute to effective social-policy design and to lead impactful programmes that promote individual well-being, reduce inequalities, eliminate vulnerabilities, and foster inclusive and sustainable social growth.
Aiming to promote social progress through education, KMOP Education Hub has developed a range of educational programs for individuals and businesses, helping them to navigate their social ecosystem towards achieving their goals and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
In the ICEX project, the KMOP Education and Innovation Hub holds a supporting but significant role. As one of Greece’s oldest NGOs, KMOP leverages its extensive network to recruit participants from within Greece, focusing on migrants and professionals interested in improving their sexual health knowledge and access to education. Working closely with the University of West Attica, KMOP ensures the content developed for the project is comprehensive and tailored to meet the needs of the target audience, drawing on its wealth of experience in EU projects. Additionally, KMOP promotes the project activities, utilizing its network to reach a broader audience and encourage participation within the community. Through these efforts, KMOP contributes significantly to enhancing migrants’ sexual health and well-being by facilitating access to education, fostering collaboration, and promoting community engagement.
