Intimate hygiene
Intimate hygiene is important for health and well-being and prevent infections and comfort in the genital area but feeling clean and fresh give you self-confidence and self- esteem as for women as for man.
For me, the intimate parts of my body are:
- My sex.
- The hidden part of my body.
- The part of my body that we don’t see easily, that I don’t expose.
- What is private: where I do not give access to other people without consent.
Sometimes, when I wash my private parts, there are reactions:
- I have itching
- I feel the sting
- I have redness
- I bleed
- There is swelling
- I smell bad
- I feel burning
- I have white, yellow or green mucus

How to do my hygiene?
- In the bathroom, always wipe yourself from front to back, using toilet paper.
- Wash myself (and the children) from front to back, without entering the private parts, with gentle gestures.
- Washing myself once a day with clean water with my hand is enough.
All of this destroys my natural protection and my natural white losses (mucus):
- IF I wash a lot forcefully or very often
- IF I use products that irritate my private parts, e.g. soap.
- The white losses (mucus) can be more or less abundant, they are transparent and odourless. If they change colour or smell bad, you need to talk about it because it could be an infection or fungus.
- My private parts consist of a mucous membrane, like my mouth or nose. They must be damp. It’s normal. If they are not moist, this creates problems.
- When my body reacts this way, I stop using the product I use and just wash it off with water.
Male intimate hygiene
- Washing myself once a day with clean water with my hand is enough
- Wash your hands before and after going to the toilette
- Shower daily to clean entire body, including the genital area
- Wash the penis, scrotum, and surrounding areas. If uncircumcised, retract the foreskin to clean it.
- After washing, dry very well and completely the genital area before putting on clean underwear
